We were able to shift our Laguna plant facility to 100% renewable energy as part of our sustainability commitment. We also expanded our warehouse to optimize the operational capacity of PBI. Philippine Bio-Industries champions sustainability with a renewable energy
Laguna, PHILIPPINES — W Hydrocolloids, a leading exporter of ingredient solutions and carrageenan from the Philippines, reaffirms its commitment to environmental sustainability with the recent partnership with First Gen Corporation. Almost a year after WHI acquired Philippine Bio-Industries on September 7, 2020, they inked a deal with the power generation company for the supply of renewable energy.
PBI’s new warehouse
We are investing in a new warehouse for Philippine Bio-Industries that W Group fully acquired in September 2020. This expansion project is geared towards our plan to optimize the operational capacity of PBI in anticipation of the increase in PBI’s product portfolio in the next two to three years that would require additional space.
