Philippine Bio-Industries (PBI) is an enterprise based in the Philippines with main office and facility in Carmelray Industrial Park 1, Canlubang, Calamba City, Province of Laguna under the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA).

The plant has been in operations since November 1992 and is the first fully automated facility in Asia using patented European technology to produce Refined Carrageenan from local seaweed raw materials. It also produces specialty Carrageenan and wide selections of Carrageenan based functional systems.

The facility is operated with a focus on food safety, compliant to ISO 9001 and FSSSC 22000 certifications, and the Halal and Kosher requirements. An assurance that we produce our products following the global food standards.

Our state-of-the-art plant also provides safe working conditions for our employees and business partners, with a stellar record of over 10 years working without a Lost Time Accident (LTA).

PBI also follows a stringent environmental protection program to minimize its impact on the environment by having its wastewater treatment systems and material recovery facility.
